Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask us before their first order: how a request works, what it costs, and what happens when the parcel reaches your country.
Getting started
What does ParSend actually do?
We are your shopping address in Istanbul. You send us links to what you want from Turkish online stores, we buy the items, receive them at our warehouse, photograph them and send everything to your address abroad in one parcel.
Which countries do you ship to?
We ship worldwide. Most of our customers are in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Austria and the United Kingdom, but any destination a courier serves from Turkey works.
Do I need an account before I can order?
Yes. Requests, quotes, messages and payment all live inside your account, so you can follow every step and keep a written record of what was agreed.
Can you forward a parcel I ordered myself?
Not yet. Forwarding with your own Istanbul address is on the way. For now every order goes through a BuyForMe request and we place the order for you.
Placing a request
How do I place a BuyForMe request?
Open Shop Now, paste the product links and tell us the size, colour and quantity you want. We check availability and send you a quote inside the request conversation.
Which stores can you buy from?
Any Turkish online store that delivers inside Turkey. Trendyol, Hepsiburada, LC Waikiki, Koton, Mavi and Defacto come up most often, but the list is not limited to them.
What if an item is sold out or the price has changed?
We message you in the request conversation before spending anything. You decide whether to change the size or colour, choose something else, or drop the item.
Can I add items after sending a request?
Yes, as long as you have not paid yet. Reply in the request conversation and we add them to the same quote.
Fees and payment
What does ParSend charge?
A handling fee of 12 percent of the item price, with a minimum of 12 euro. Photo packages, packaging removal and consolidation are optional extras. Shipping is quoted separately once we know the final weight and your destination.
What do the photo packages cost?
Standard is 1 percent with a minimum of 1 euro and gives you 2 photos of each item. Detailed is 2 percent with a minimum of 2 euro and gives you 4 photos of each item plus an inspection.
Which currency will I be charged in?
Payment is taken in Turkish lira. Our fees are quoted in euro so they are easy to compare, and the lira amount is calculated at the exchange rate on the day you pay.
When and how do I pay?
After we send your quote, a payment button appears inside the request conversation. One click takes you to a secure checkout, and the request moves forward as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Every fee is listed before you pay. Customs duty and import VAT in your own country are separate and are not collected by us.
Photos, packaging and storage
Will I see my items before they are shipped?
Yes, if you choose a photo package. We photograph each item after it reaches the warehouse and post the photos in your request conversation before the parcel leaves.
How long can you store my items?
Thirty days from the day a parcel arrives at our warehouse, free of charge.
Can you remove the shop packaging?
Yes. Removing boxes, hangers and filler costs 3 euro and lowers the shipping weight. If you would rather everything arrived exactly as the store packed it, keeping the original packaging costs nothing.
Can you combine several orders into one parcel?
Yes. Choose hold for consolidation and we keep your items until you are ready. Combining costs 5 euro and usually saves far more than that in shipping.
Delivery, customs and problems
How long does delivery take?
It depends on your country and the courier you choose. We confirm the delivery estimate together with the shipping price, before you pay.
Who pays customs duty and import VAT?
You do, as the importer. The rates and the thresholds are set by your own country, not by us, and they are collected by the courier or by customs on arrival.
What if something arrives damaged or is not what I ordered?
Reply in the request conversation, or open a support ticket from the contact page. The photos we take before shipping are the record, which is exactly why the photo packages are worth taking.
Is there anything you cannot ship?
Anything the courier or your own country prohibits. Batteries, flammable liquids, perfume and aerosols are the usual examples. If you are not sure, ask us before you send the request.
Still have a question?
Send us a message and a real person answers. If you already have an account, your message becomes a support ticket you can follow from start to finish.
